“The mortgage is coming due again . . . where will I find the money to pay it?”
“My car needs work done, and I don’t have extra money to pay for repairs.”
“Why can’t I afford to go on trips like my friends do?”
You thought it would be different this month. This month you would be able to pay those bills and start saving. This month you’d be able to start planning that dream vacation.
And once you are financially free, you’ll be happy!
Well, I hate to tell you this, but
We often think that once we are financially free, or in a loving relationship, or even running a successful business, we’ll finally be happy.
Having the money to pay the mortgage each month will make you happy.
Having a nice car that doesn’t constantly need repairs will make you happy.
Going on a vacation to a tropical island will make you happy. What? How can that be? Don’t I need the cash first, and then I’ll be happy?
To succeed in any goal there are three easy steps to follow:
- Cultivate a happy state of mind.
- Set the goal.
- Keep at the goal until you succeed.
The number 1 point above is ESSENTIAL to success in any goal.
The truth is that unless you already ‘feel successful’ or ‘feel good about YOURSELF FIRST’ or ‘possess a KNOWING that you will succeed’, you’ll find it’s going to be an uphill struggle to attain your goal.
“Why am I not hitting my financial goals month after month?”
Here’s why.
and think about how you honestly FEEL ABOUT the goal.
Answer this simple question.
If the answer is a resounding NO, then the first place you’ve got to focus is to get into a happier state of mind.
Here’s how.
This means that every time you catch yourself thinking a negative thought, CHANGE THE THOUGHT TO A POSITIVE THOUGHT.>SWITCH to thinking a different thought.
Instead of ‘I really hate my job’ TO ‘I am grateful to have this job’.
Instead of ‘Why can’t I afford to take a vacation’ TO ‘I’m thankful for my health’.
Instead of ‘I’m having trouble paying my mortgage’ TO ‘I’m thankful for food on the table’.
Also, have you noticed how when you think a negative thought, you also feel it in your body? It may leave you feeling angry, tired, or even sad.
Even if you can’t catch your thoughts or even see what it is you’re thinking, then go by the feeling in your body.
Try this.
Focus your thoughts on something positive. Bring up an image of a loved one:
–your significant other
–your children
–your dog or cat
Let these thoughts be your new reality:
“I have enough extra money to buy my family nice gifts this year.”
“I have the financial freedom to pursue my dream job.”
“I can afford to bring the whole family on a cruise this winter.”
Be consistent in using this approach to changing your ‘state of mind’.
Don’t delay! Too much is at stake!
I can help you meet your financial goals faster.
With love.
