P.S. Here’s a picture of us together at the Dorchester. Isn’t he adorable? I love him so much! Don’t give up on true love.
I just had a birthday, and my wonderful man took me to afternoon tea at London’s Dorchester Hotel.
We had an absolute blast and I felt like a princess for a day!
It got me thinking, have you noticed that you feel fantastic when your birthday is looming?
And on the actual day of your birthday, you always feel extra special?
So why does it take a birthday or Christmas or even your wedding day to make you feel so special?
The answer is in your mind. PERIOD!
Your mind says:
- An occasion such as a birthday, Christmas, or your wedding day is a special day.
- Because it’s a special day, you should feel good.
Based on what your mind has learnt, you have given yourself permission to feel good about yourself, you expect others to treat you well, and you even give yourself permission to smile and be happy just because of the meaning you have given to this day.
On the other hand, if you’re getting inconsistent results, if you start well and don’t finish, if you procrastinate or suffer from perfectionism—all these things have also been learnt.
Note that I keep using the word ‘learnt’.
What I’m pointing at is that stored in your brain are all the things you’ve ever learned—to walk, talk, read, write, count, to feel happy on your birthday or Christmas, and numerous other things you may take for granted.
Some of the things you’ve learned are good, and other things may lead you to failure or even to achieve mediocre results in life.
The good news is that you can learn to be successful in any area of your life, and for those of you who attended the Mind Mastery training, you now know how to do this.
Have a fabulous day!
