I love Christmas because everyone is in such a fabulous mood, and hanging out with those that I love is probably the best part of it for me. Of course, the excitement of a little something from Santa is always gratefully received.
It’s also the time of year when you think about all the brilliant things that have happened to you. And you’re perhaps now thinking, “Well, I set some goals but I actually forgot about them!” Or maybe, “I tried but didn’t succeed in reaching my goals in 2014“.
Whatever happened, it doesn’t matter. Put it to one side. Be nice to yourself. It’s in the past.
It’s BRAND NEW YEAR
All you need to know is that you are already brilliant at hitting your goals. Yes, you are. I mean it.
Think of the things you already take for granted.
- You can walk.
- You can talk.
- You can read.
You can do a billion other things (which you are taking for granted). Every time you just think, “I want a cold drink”, you can get up from a chair and walk across the room to the refrigerator and get that drink. Just think, how does that happen automatically? You’ve forgotten, when you were learning to walk, you kept at it until you mastered how to walk. When a baby learns to walk, he/she just works it out and rejects what doesn’t work. Until one day the baby has mastered the skill of walking.
Hitting any goal is the same.
- Set the goal.
- Keep at it.
- Let your mind work out the steps.
