My mum and I have been so excited this week because my big brother came to visit us in London all the way from Australia.
Last night he and I went out to dinner, and we got chatting about his work in Papua, New Guinea.
In a nutshell, he and an amazing team of nuns have set up HIV clinics all over the country.
They have helped 4000+ people to date with health issues.
You know, this was the first time I ever understood what he actually did, and it reminded me of what he told me years ago about why he wanted to become a doctor in the first place.
The reason he became a doctor was that he had a calling to help other people and also wanted to travel the world.
My dad tried to persuade him to do something else (become an accountant instead!), but Arun was determined to go to medical school. He even stuck it out until he got a place at medical school.
His work together with the nuns is really evidence of his vision becoming a reality.
Now, my brother is a modest guy and says none of this would be possible without the wonderful team that does the work [as you can see below he’s no good at posing in front of a camera either!].

But the reason I’m telling you this is that we all have a calling —
a deep desire to do something BIG,to perhaps leave behind a legacy that lives on long after we’ve died.
