Imagine you won the lottery today.
After the shock, the joy, the wild celebration, and picking yourself off the floor,
let’s just pause for a second.
What’s now possible for you to achieve?
How do you feel?
What dream will it fulfil straightaway?
(Close your eyes and picture the dream fulfilled.)
I bet you could think what you would do with the money straightaway.
I’m willing to speculate you felt utterly amazing.
This simple process of seeing your outcome and the feeling of having achieved your goal is how you mentally rehearse a goal.
Mental rehearsal is something that you do naturally.
Think about when you go choose a car,
or pack your clothes for a trip,
or when you’re looking for the perfect pair of shoes for a party dress,
or even when you think about what to eat for lunch.
You see what you want in your mind’s eye first,
and quite often there will be a feeling associated with what you see.
When it comes to mentally rehearsing your BIG goal,
you’ll find you’re a natural at it.
Understanding this simple process will enable you to
imprint your goal on your mind.
I guarantee that once you’ve imprinted your goal into the mind,
your brain will course correct (like a cybernetic missile)
until you hit your target.
Do it.
Let me know how you get on!
